Foley Room

Foley Room is a room where sound effects for films are recorder. This is not very interesting at all, but it's also a name of Amon Tobin's new album. It will be released early in March but I've became the opportunity to hear it on Christmas Eve. It was my best present this year, because the album is really great. I heard it for whole week and didn't write here anything about it only because I was thinking if I should title this blog entry as 'Best album of 2007'. I don't like the absolut references, let alone absolut references about a year that will start tomorrow :) So the entry is titled only with the name of the album. Anyway I'm sure, that it will be my best album of 2007.

Don't want to write a review here. There are allready some and I don't want to supply critic's work. Just check this two trailers and wait till march :)

Winter starts

Finally :)

I know officialy it started about a week ago, but till now there wasn't any snow but warm weather. So for me winter starts today. First early in the morning when I've returned from the party in the town. One hour of slow slow walk in the snowfall... Great return to the home.

And then after four hours of sleeping I went to Vratna to snowboard. First time in this winter. There wasn't so much snow, just enough not to break a board. Anyway it was very fine a now I'm very tired so I should go to sleep, but don't be afraid - I'm going to another party ;]

After a Red Hill Residence post, I had a small conversation with Johny that I should change the work if I want to have a bathroom like that. The bathroom I want to show you today is also very nice. There is not so good view, because it's in center of Antwerpen, but there is much light, big spaces and fantastich shower withou any glass borders.

And this one can be made with less (financial) effort :)

btw: whole house was for sold a couple of weeks before, but it's allready sold.

Yesterday we made a trip on Krivan. Weather was great, same the views. The mountiens in back are High Tatras, about 100 kilometer away...

Get Some Fresh Air

Yesterday I became my new shirts that I've ordered from threadless. First surprise was when I found it in my post box after only one week from shipping date. Yes, clasic express delivery post packages are shipped only in one week from US. I've expected that it would take about 3 weeks, maybe month.
First than I've realized, that the package with two shirts is in my post box that have only normal small hole for putting letters in. The package was not damaged at all, just the carton was a litle bit crooked. Anyway, big congrats to postman that he've pushed the package with two shirts through that small hole. I'm looking forward next shiping with four or five shirts :)

'Get Some Fresh Air' is the code name of one of the shirts. It's not very hard to find out which one...

Jaga Jazzist @ Hodokvas

As you have realized, I go to every good concert in the town. Last year it could be about 30 concerts and music parties and I'm very happy, that I get the record of the best one.

Jagaz are really good live band. And they are big band :) Really great show, the biggest surprise for me was that people loved it. I don't think they are very well known, I think they are unknown at all. But the people get them and make really really big crowd. I've never been at the concert which ended but applaus took another 20 minutes...

Winterbells

Christmas - and maybe also some serious winter with snow - is comming. That's nothing new, but I didn't get it till last weekend, when I went to shop and tried to find some christmas presents. Of course, I haven't bought anything. Except some presents for myself :) OK, I know it sounds really selffish, but I promise that next weekend I will buy presents for everybody. Sorry: Everybody, but you :)

And another thing I've found this weekend is this cute game: Winterbells

My best score is 51720. Who will beat it? It's very easy, as the max I've heard about is 250770...

Theme De Yoyo

'Theme De Yoyo' is name of a song, originally recorded by 'Art Ensemble of Chicago'. Really nice funny name :)

But of course, I don't write here about it only because of a name. It's also very good song, full of energy and very funny. And with melody that's very easy to remember, but it's not boring. Not even after whole day in you head. You all know the situation when you hear some song in the morning and it stays in your head for the whole day. This is exactly the song I would like to have in my head for a whole day.

Of course, there are some remakes of this song. One is from Cinematic Orchestra, really short song. Only two minutes against nine minute original version, but with so much more energy. Old good Cinematic Orchestra. No no, don't be afraid, I'm not going to tell you about new Cinematic Orchestra album. Will wait for it and than I'll tell you. Second one is completely different, much more rocky. It's from 'Motorpsycho' and 'Jaga Jazzist Horns'.

All of them are good, but the original one is original one...
